Dan Morgan, W1UR, Lakes Region Repeater Assoc president on left, and Artie Buckner, KA1PJT, on right, operate HAM radios and laptops during the annual Field Day event in the US and Canada held over the weekend.  Morse code and voice operations are completed on temporary antennas with generators in movable shelters for the largest single emergency preparedness exercise by amateur radio operators.

Smith River 2009 photos

 

Here is a photo of the Great Smith River Canoe and Kayak race LRRA communication support team held 5/16/09. The Club provided communications to the Finish Line crowd from key points along the 4 mile race course. Racers started at Albee Beach, raced across part of Lake Wentworth, around the Crescent Lake first dam, down the river through rapids, portaged around the second dam and across Back Bay to the Finish at Dockside on Lake Winnipesaukee.
